I realize that this post is likely too tardy to reach my East Coast compatriots, which saddens me, but I am an avid adherent to the old philosophy of "it's the thought that counts." So, in the spirit of nice thoughts, I hope all you had a wonderful 4th of July, complete with an exciting new patriotic outfit, watermelon, crisp apple pie (a la mode, preferably), a baseball game, bare feet in lawns, family, sparklers, and a few random, yet tastefully utilized explicatives. This is a celebration of America, after all!
*I commend all of you whose explicatives were dropped during a bated-breath viewing of the Red Sox/Yankees game.
